1½ lbs ground beef
2 cloves garlic, minced
2-3 tbsp olive oil
1-16oz can tomatoes
1-8oz can tomato sauce
1½ tsp oregano
1½ tsp salt
¼ cup onion, chopped fine
¼ tsp pepper
½ lb thinly sliced mozzarella
½ cup grated parmesan cheese
2-4oz cans mushrooms
Cook
macaroni according to packaging. Sauté beef and garlic in olive oil. Stir in tomato sauce, tomatoes, and seasoning. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes. Add mushrooms with liquid.
Fill a buttered casserole dish with alternate layers of macaroni,
mozzarella cheese, meat mixture, and parmesan
cheese. Bake covered at 375º for 30 minutes.
