Dumplings - Lucille Rhodes

1 cup flour                                           
1 tbsp shortening or margarine
1½ tsp baking powder                       
½ cup milk
½ tsp salt

Combine flour, salt and baking powder.  Cut in shortening until fine as corn meal.  Add liquid and mix very lightly until soft dough is formed.  Drop from soup spoon on boiling meat stew, sauerkraut etc.  Cover very tightly and cook without removing cover for 12 minutes.  Serves 6.  These are large fluffy dumplings.
