Graham Cracker Torte - Barbara Seng

11 graham crackers, broken             
1 tsp baking powder
1 cup chopped nuts                            
3 egg whites
¾ cup sugar                                         
1 tsp vanilla

Break graham crackers into a bowl.  Add baking powder and mix well until crumbly with fingers.  Add nuts.  Beat egg whites until stiff, gradually folding in the sugar.  Add vanilla.  Fold egg white mixture into graham crackers.  Pour into butter pie pan and bake 25 minutes in a 325º.  Cool and cut in wedges.  Top with whipped cream or ice cream.
