Grandma Lucille’s Crullers - Nora Miller

¼ cup oleo                                           
¼ cup butter
¾ cup sugar                                         
3 eggs
3 ½ cups flour                                     
1 tsp salt
3 tsp baking powder                           
1 cup milk
2 tsp vanilla

Cream oleo and butter, sugar.  Add eggs one at a time.  Add all remaining ingredients to form dough.  Place ½ cup flour on board to be worked into dough.  Sprinkle more flour on board and roll out to ¼ inch thick.  Cut into diamonds with a slit in the middle.  Pull one end of the diamond thru the slit and deep fry in hot oil.  Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
