1 cup sugar
1 cup butter
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
3 cups flour
½ tsp salt
½ tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp soda
1 cup chopped nuts
Mix
sugars and butter, beat in eggs and vanilla. Mix dry ingredients and add
to wet mixture. Stir in nuts last.
Shape dough into roll on waxed paper and refrigerate overnight or longer. When ready to bake, preheat oven 400º and
slice dough about ¼ inch thick. Bake 6-8
minutes. Makes about 6 dozen.
