Lasagna - Mark Seng

1 lb hamburger                                    
½ tsp dried basil leaves
1 medium onion                                 
½ tsp dried oregano leaves    
1 clove garlic, finely chopped          
¼ tsp pepper
3-8oz cans tomato sauce                  
1-8oz pkg lasagna noodles
2 tbsp snipped parsley                       
1 lb dried cottage cheese
1 tsp sugar                                            
1½ lbs mozzarella cheese
½ tsp salt                                              
¼ cup parmesan cheese
                            
Crumble hamburger into small pieces.  Cook and stir hamburger, onion, and garlic in 10 inch skillet until hamburger is light brown; drain.  Stir in tomato sauce, parsley, sugar, salt basil, oregano and pepper.  Cover and simmer 20 minutes.  Cook noodles as directed on package; drain.  Spread about 1 cup meat sauce in bottom of ungreased oblong baking dish, 13x9x2 inches.  Layer ½ each of the noodles, remaining meat sauce, cottage cheese, and mozzarella cheese on meat sauce; repeat.  Sprinkle with parmesan cheese.  Cook uncovered in 350º oven  until hot and bubbly, about 45 minutes.  Let stand 15 minutes before cutting.
