(I think our family first tasted this at a square dance group campout in Michigan years ago.. My parents used to play cards in the screened tent and snack on these….I just remember that they were wonderful!)
⅔ cup vinegar
1 clove garlic, mashed
½ cup oil 1 onion, chopped
2 tbsp water
1 tsp salt & ¼ tsp pepper
1 tbsp sugar
1-1½ lbs fresh mushrooms
tarragon
Tabasco
Clean mushrooms, leave whole, mix remaining ingredients, add mushrooms, let sit in fridge for several hours at least before serving.
