Patty’s French Bread - Mark Seng

3 tbsp yeast                                         
6 cups warm water
5 tsp salt                                                              
16 cups flour
4 tbsp sugar                                         
6 tbsp oil

Mix above ingredients; using 8 cups of flour.  Add remaining flour.  Knead for 5 minutes.  Rest 5 minutes  Divide into 4 loaves.  Let rise on greased cookie sheets covered lightly with cornmeal.  Slash top.  Brush with beaten egg.  Bake at 350º for 25‑30 minutes  Makes 4 large loaves.  Recipe may be divided.
