4 cups raw peanuts
1 cup Karo syrup
2 tsp salt
1⅓ cups water
⅛ lb butter (½ stick)
2 heaping tsp baking soda
Mix
sugar, syrup and water in saucepan and cook to 238º. Add peanuts and salt.
Stir constantly to 300º. Remove
from heat immediately and add butter and soda.
Mixture will foam, stir it well.
Spread as thin as possible on warm buttered cookie sheets. Break and eat when completely cooled.
