1 cup margarine, softened
2 eggs
½ cup water
2 tsp root beer extract
3½ cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
Mix
brown sugar, margarine and eggs in bowl until fluffy. Stir in water, extract, flour, soda and salt
and mix until smooth. Cover and
refrigerate 1 hour. Drop by rounded
spoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 400º for about 6-8 minutes.
Bake until almost no impression remains when a cookie is touched
lightly. Immediately lift the cookies to
a rack to cool.
2 cups powdered sugar
1½ tsp root beer extract⅓ cup margarine, softened
2 tbsp hot water
Mix sugar and margarine in bowl and stir in extract and water. Stir until smooth. Spoon glaze over the cookies while on rack. Wax paper should be under the racks to catch drippings
