1 stick margarine, melted
4 egg whites
1 cup sugar
1-21oz can cherry pie filling
1-8oz carton Cool Whip
chopped nuts for garnish
Crush
crackers very fine. Add melted
margarine, stir well and press firmly into a 9 x 13 inch pan. Beat the egg whites until stiff. Add the sugar gradually and beat until very
stiff. Spread on top of crackers. Bake 10 - 15 minutes at 350º. Cool.
Spread the cherry pie filling on top of meringue. Top with Cool Whip and garnish with chopped nuts and refrigerate. Makes about 12 servings.
