3¼ cups flour (half whole wheat is best)
1¼ cups warm water
5 tsp sugar
1 pkg. yeast
1 tsp salt
Mix
dry ingredients together. Mix yeast and
water, adding oil when yeast is dissolved.
Mix yeast mixture into dry ingredients.
Knead 5 minutes. Let rise 45
minutes. Knead 5 more minutes. Separate into 12 balls. Let set ten minutes. Roll into circle about 1/4" thick. Let set 15 minutes after rolling. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet or fry on
lightly oiled fry pan. When baking start
on lower rack for 4-5 minutes, turning and finish on top rack another 4-5
minutes. Browning will be patchy.
