8 apples
1 cup sugar
4 tbsp cornstarch
¾ tsp salt
½ cup butter
Boil
yams until
tender. Peel and slice. Peel apples and slice.
Alternately layer yams and apples in a casserole dish. Mix water, sugar, cornstarch, salt and butter in a sauce
pan and bring to a boil. Pour over the
yams and bake at 350º for 20-25 minutes.
