Apricot Jello Salad - Gerry Engle

1-3oz box apricot jello                       
1 cup hot water
1 cup cold water                                 
1 lb can crushed pineapple
2 large bananas                                  
2 cups mini marshmallows
1 tbsp flour                                          
1 tbsp margarine
1-3oz pkg cream cheese                    
½ cup sugar
1 pkg Dream Whip

Drain pineapple and reserve juice.  In a large bowl dissolve jello in hot water.  Add cold water.  Add pineapple, sliced bananas, and marshmallows.  Mix together.  Place mixture in 9x13 pan and set to chill in fridge.

Cook ½ cup of the reserved pineapple juice with flour, margarine, cream cheese and sugar until slightly thick.  Set aside to cool.  Mix package of Dream Whip according to instructions in another bowl.  When cooked mixture is completely cool, fold in the Dream Whip and spread over the top of the now firm jello.  Sprinkle nuts, coconut or maraschino cherries on top if you wish.
