½ teaspoon salt
3 cups sugar
3 sticks butter
1-8oz pkg cream cheese
1 teaspoon vanilla
6 eggs
Bring
butter and cream cheese to room temperature.  Cream butter, cream cheese, vanilla and sugar to a fluff.  Sift the flour twice and slowly add to the
creamed mixture.  Add eggs one at a time. 
Beat one minute after each egg and then for three minutes on high speed.  Pour into a tube pan and bake at 350° for 1½
hours.
