Barbecued Spareribs - Barbara Seng

3-4 lbs pork ribs, cut into pieces       
1 tsp chili powder
1 large onion, sliced thin                    
1 tsp salt
1 cup catsup                                        
2 dashes Tabasco sauce
⅓ cup Worcestershire sauce             
2 cups water

Place ribs, meaty side up in a baking pan.  Place onion on meat and roast at 450º for 30 minutes.  Combine remaining ingredients, bring to boil and pour over the ribs.  Bake at 350º 1 hour until tender. Baste every 15 minutes adding water if necessary.  An equally delicious but sweeter sauce can be used by  mixing ½ cup catsup, ½ cup brown sugar, ½ cup chili sauce and 1 cup cold water.
