1 medium onion, chopped
1 tbsp oil
3 cans beef broth
1 cup barley
1 tsp thyme
½ tsp marjoram
¼ tsp rosemary, crushed
¼ tsp pepper
4 carrots
parsley
Brown
beef stew meat in heavy pot with onion in oil.
Add beef broth, barley, thyme, marjoram,
rosemary and pepper. Boil and reduce to
simmer for 1 hour. Add carrots, boil and reduce heat and
simmer 40 minutes until meat is tender.
Add parsley.
