1 tsp salt
1 tbsp sugar
1 cup milk
3½ tsp baking powder
⅓ cup butter or margarine
Mix
dry ingredients in bowl and stir in milk just until dough clings together. Turn onto well floured board and knead about
10 times. Roll or pat into ½ inch thick
rectangle 12x8. With a sharp, floured,
knife, cut the dough in half lengthwise, then crosswise into 16 strips (makes
32 pieces). Melt butter in 9x13 pan and
dip each strip into the butter, coating both sides and arrange them in two rows
in the pan. Bake at 450º for 15-20
minutes.

Butter Dips – Add ½ cup finely grated cheddar cheese to dry ingredients
Garlic
