6 tbsp butter or margarine
3 tbsp light corn syrup
¼ tsp baking soda
8 cups Rice Chex cereal
½ cup milk chocolate chips
Cover
a cookie sheet with waxed paper. In a
large bowl microwave-safe measure out the 8 cups of cereal needed and set it
aside. In a smaller microwave-safe bowl
mix brown sugar, margarine, and corn syrup.
Microwave 1-2 minutes, stirring after 1 minute, until margarine is
melted. Stir in baking soda until
dissolved. Pour over cereal and gently
mix. Microwave for 3 minutes, stirring
after every minute. Spread onto cookie
sheet and cool 10 minutes then separate the pieces. Place chocolate chips into a Ziploc sandwich bag and microwave for 2
minutes or until melted. Bag will be
HOT! Cut off a small corner of the bag
and drizzle chocolate over cereal mix.
Refrigerate until chocolate is set.
Store in an airtight container.
