Coffee Cake - Amanda Seng

2 cups packed brown sugar             
2 cups flour                                          
½ cup (1 cube) butter/margarine     
1 tsp baking powder                           
½ tsp salt                                              
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup milk
1 egg
1 cup chocolate chips
½ cup chopped walnuts

Blend brown sugar, flour and butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Remove 1 cup of mixture and set aside.  To remaining mix add baking powder, salt, vanilla, milk and egg. Mix until smooth and blended.  Butter/ spray a 9x13 inch pan. Spread batter evenly into pan. Sprinkle leftover crumbs on top along with chocolate chips and walnuts. Bake for 30- 35 minutes until cake starts to pull away from sides.
