Graham Cracker Bars - Barbara Seng

48 graham crackers                           
1 cup butter                                         
½ cup milk                                           
1 cup sugar                                          
1 egg, beaten                                       
1 cup graham cracker crumbs
1 cup coconut
1 cup chopped nuts
½ tsp vanilla
dash salt

Lay crackers on cookie sheet.  Melt butter, and add milk, sugar, and egg.  Bring to a full boil.  Remove from heat, add crumbs, coconut, nuts, vanilla and salt.  Spread mixture over crackers.  Frost with desired flavor of frosting.  Chocolate or Orange are popular.  If desired, a second layer of crackers may be placed in top of the crumb mixture before the frosting.
