3 tbsp pickling spice 3 quarts white vinegar
13 cups sugar 4 tsp salt
Slice
cukes and put into a crock with lime on top.
Cover with cold water and let set for 24 hours after mixing well. Wash water until clear of lime. Cover cukes with cold water, let stand 3
hours, drain. Boil pickling spice,
vinegar, sugar and salt into a
syrup. Pour over cukes. Let stand overnight, put into a kettle and
boil until transparent. (about 45 minutes.)
Put into mason jars and seal.
