(Charlene
had this at a breakfast at one of our church’s local women’s conferences. She raved about it and had to bring home the
recipe)
1 sheet puff pastry
1 lb sage sausage
1 dozen eggs, cooked scrambled mushrooms, onions and peppers
½ lb cheddar cheese, grated
egg wash (1 egg and 2 tbsp water)
oregano
Sauté
chopped mushrooms, onions and peppers.
Prepare scrambled eggs. Fry sage sausage until brown.
Drain all ingredients. Roll out
pastry to 14x18. In layers spread
evenly onto pastry cheddar cheese, browned sausage, scrambled
eggs, mushrooms, onions and peppers mixture and finally another layer of
cheese. Roll the pastry like a
burrito. Brush with egg wash and sprinkle with oregano. Bake on a lightly greased baking sheet at
350º for 25-30 minutes. Then slice and
serve.
