¼ cup cold milk
5 large apples
¾ cup sugar
¼ cup brown sugar
1 tbsp flour
2 cups flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp lemon juice
2 tbsp butter
Mix
the corn oil and
milk in the
same cup and add 2 cups flour and 1 tsp salt.
Mix well and divide dough up into two pieces (one slightly larger than
the other) Roll into 11 inch circle for
bottom of a 9 inch pie pan, and roll the smaller into 10 inch circle for the
top.
Slice
apples (Golden Delicious, Rome or Minnesota Haroldson
are the best) and mix with sugars,
flour, cinnamon and lemon juice.
Pour into pastry and dot with
butter. Cover top with top pastry and
bake at 425º for 20 minutes. Reduce
temperature to 350º and continue baking for 30-35 minutes.
