Onion Chip Dip - Michael Fletcher

(We’ve been making this for years, its so much better than the prepared stuff you can buy in the grocery stores!)

16oz sour cream                                  

1-8oz pkg cream cheese

1 envelopes of Lipton’s Onion Soup Mix

Cream the cream cheese with the sour cream to eliminate any lumps.  We use a hand mixer on the cream cheese first, slowly adding the sour cream.  Once well blended, we stir in the onion soup mix by hand.  Chill for about an hour to allow the mixture to firm up a little again.  Tastes best with sturdy chips like Ruffles.
