Push Putty - Barbara Seng

4 cups water
¼ cup Borax
1 cup water
1 cup craft glue

Pour 4 cups of water into a large glass jar.  Add Borax and stir until it is dissolved.

In a second jar, mix 1 cup water and 1 cup white craft glue.  Tighten the lid and shake well until mixed.  If you want colored putty, add food coloring or paint to the water and glue mixture.

To make the putty, pour 1 cup of the Borax solution in a container and add one quarter of the glue solution.  Stir it with your finger.  The glue mixture thickens as soon as it comes in contact with the Borax solution.  Remove the putty from the solution and knead it to get the finished texture.  Much like Silly Putty, Pushy Putty can be used to make impressions from newspapers or color comics.  Store in a sealed container or plastic bag.  Note:  You can buy glycerine at drug stores and Borax on the laundry soap aisle -- as 20 Mule Team Borax Laundry Booster, not Boraxo soap.
