Raspberry Tarts - Nora Miller

2 cups flour                                          
½ cup sugar
¼ tsp baking soda                              
½ tsp salt
1½ tsp baking powder                       
½ cup butter
1 egg, well beaten                               
¼ cup milk
raspberry jam

Sift flour, sugar, baking soda, salt and baking powder together.  Cut butter in as for pie crust.  Add egg and milk.  Mix with fork.  Work together with hands until smooth.  Shape into balls and place on greased cookie sheet.  Make a depression in center of each with a thimble.  Fill each center with jam.  Bake at 400º for 12 minutes.
