Roast Beef - Nancy Fletcher

4-6 lbs rump or sirloin roast              
1½ sticks of margarine
red pepper, salt, pepper, garlic, basil, parsley
1 package Lipton onion soup          
4½ cups water
green peppers, sliced (optional)

Make pocket holes in meat with a knife.  Mix margarine and herbs together, then stuff pockets with mixture.  Sprinkle onion soup mix over meat.  Pour water over meat.  Bake at 325º about 2-2½ hours.  May also add green peppers in gravy the last hour of baking.
