8 cups flour
1
tbsp salt
2 tbsp baking soda 6 cups sugar
2 tbsp allspice
3 tbsp cinnamon
1 tbsp ground cloves
Combine
all ingredients. Stir with a wire whisk
until blended. Divide mixture evenly
into six 2½ cups containers with lids (actually about 2¼ cups mix into each
container). Store in a cool dry
place. Use within 10 to 12 weeks. Makes 6 packages or about 13½ cups.
TO
MAKE CAKE:
Pour
mix into ungreased 8x8 pan. In a small
bowl, mix 1 egg, 1/3 cup oil, ¾ cup
applesauce, ½ cup nuts, and 1 cup raisins. Pour into pan with mix and stir until
smooth. Bake at 350° for 35 to 40
minutes or until done.
