Tomato Cake - Ruth Fletcher

½  cup shortening                                               
¾ tsp soda
2 tsp nutmeg                                        
1 cup sugar
2 cup flour                                           
1 tsp cinnamon
 cup tomato soup                         
2 tsp baking powder
¼ tsp salt                                              
1 cup raisins or dates
1 cup chopped nuts                            

Frosting:
1 pkg cream cheese                            
1½ cups powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla

Mix wet ingredients with soda.  Mix dry ingredients and combine both.  Bake in moderate oven until done. Beat frosting ingredients until smooth, and frost cake when cool.
