1 cup all-purpose flour
2 cups quick cooking rolled oats
1 cup margarine (2 sticks)
1 tsp baking soda
Measure
sugar, flour, oats and soda into large own. Cut margarine sticks into chunks and
add. With both hands, knead, squeeze,
punch, and pinch. Mix all ingredients
like piecrust until soft. “Murder it,
but NO licking until the end!” Squeeze
the mixture into little round 1 inch balls and drop them onto ungreased cookie
sheets. Punch each ball flat with bottom
of a flat-bottomed glass that has been dipped in granulated sugar. Bake at 350º for 10-15 minutes.
