Aunt Florence’s Chili - Florence Geis

(My Great Uncle Jimmy didn’t like tomatoes, so she developed this recipe for him.  I have used it at home and our kids love it as well!  I added the onions and cheddar on top and found out later that its customary in Cincinnati)

1½ lbs ground beef
1 pkg French’s Chili-O mix
1 cup water
1 onion, chopped
spaghetti noodles, cooked
grated cheddar cheese
2 cans Bush’s chili beans with gravy

Brown the ground beef.  Add the water, Chili-O and Beans.  Let simmer 10 minutes as least.  Serve over hot spaghetti noodles and top with chopped onions and cheddar cheese to taste.  (For those tomato lovers who just have to have tomatoes in their chili, we have on occasion added a drained can of diced tomatoes and it still tastes great!)
