Date Nut Balls - Mark Seng

1 cube butter                                       
2 tsp vanilla
1¾ cups sugar                                     
2 beaten eggs
1 cup chopped nuts                            
½ lb dates, pitted, chopped
3 cups Rice Krispies                           
1 lrg bag coconut

Melt butter in frying pan.  Mix eggs, sugar, and dates in butter.  Cook slowly for 10 minutes stirring constantly.   Remove from heat.  Add nuts, Rice Krispies and vanilla.  Form into small balls and roll in coconut.  Store in plastic bag.
