Refrigerator Rolls - Ruth Fletcher

2 cakes of yeast                                  
¼ cup sugar
¼ cup lukewarm water                      
½ cup shortening
1 cup milk                                            
5 cups flour
1½ tsp salt                                            
3 eggs

Dissolve yeast in water.  Scald milk, put in mixing bowl with salt, sugar, shortening.  Add 2 cups of the flour.  Beat eggs and add to yeast, then add this to the rest.  Add remaining flour to make soft dough.  Turn out on board, knead until satiny.  Place in bowl to let rise.  Punch down.  Grease bowl and top of dough.  Cover and out in fridge.  Take out when ready, form biscuits, let rise till double.  Bake at 425º for 15-20 minutes.
