½ cup water
⅓ cup vinegar
⅓ cup brown sugar
4 tsp soy sauce
⅓ cup flour
1½ tsp salt
½ tsp garlic salt
⅛ tsp pepper
2 lbs boneless pork, 1 inch cubes
2 tbsp butter
1 green pepper, cut into strips
1 tomato, cut into thin wedges
rice, cooked
Drain
pineapple, saving syrup and
chunks. Combine syrup, water, vinegar, sugar and soy sauce. Combine flour, salt and pepper. Dredge meat in flour mixture. Melt butter in fry pan. Add meat and brown on
all sides. Add 1 cup of reserved
liquid. Cover and simmer gently until
meat is tender (about 1 hour). Uncover and add remaining liquid, continue
heating. Add pineapple, green pepper, tomatoes. Cook until heated (about 5 minutes). Serve
over rice.
